Terms of use
Plain terms for a small app.

Early access
Overload is in early access. It is a real training app doing real work, and it is what I use myself. But it is young, it will change, and you may meet a rough edge. Features can be added, reworked or dropped. If something breaks, tell me and it gets fixed.
While early access runs, the app is free for everyone. Every feature is unlocked through 31 December 2026, with no subscription and no payment method. The free plan and the subscription described below apply from 1 January 2027. Subscribing before then is possible but buys nothing you do not already have.
What you get for free
Without a subscription Overload keeps working: you can train, log every set, follow the progression engine, use the lift guides, and export or back up your data. The free plan keeps up to 3 templates and 1 program, and leaves out the lift charts and records, the weekly debrief, and notes on lifts and templates. The home page shows the free plan and the subscription, side by side.
Nothing you make is ever deleted or taken away. If you had more templates or programs than the free plan covers, they all stay in the app: the three you trained most recently and your most recent program stay trainable, and the others wait, greyed out, until you subscribe again.
The subscription
- From 1 January 2027, Overload is €1.99 per month, with the first month free for new subscribers. Google Play decides who is eligible for that free month.
- It renews automatically until you cancel, and is billed by Google Play, not by me.
- Cancel any time in the Play Store under Payments and subscriptions. Access continues to the end of the period you have paid for, and then the free plan takes over.
- Refunds follow Google Play's refund policy. Google is the merchant of record.
- What you pay goes back into building the app: new features, fixes, and keeping it free of ads and accounts.
Your data is your responsibility
Overload stores everything on your phone and nowhere else. That is the point, and it has a consequence: if you lose the phone, uninstall the app, or wipe its storage, the data is gone. Use You → Your data → Export file, or turn on Automatic backups to a folder you pick, and keep a copy somewhere you trust.
Training sense
Overload suggests weights and rep targets from what you have logged. They are suggestions from arithmetic, not coaching, and they know nothing about your health, your technique or how you slept. It is not medical advice. Lift within your ability, get proper instruction for unfamiliar movements, and see a professional about pain or injury. You train at your own risk.
Fair use
Please don't decompile, repackage or redistribute the app, or try to unlock paid features without paying. It's a one-person project; that sort of thing just makes it worse for everyone.
Liability
Overload is provided as it is, without warranty. To the extent the law allows, I am not liable for injury, lost data or other damages arising from using it. Nothing here takes away rights you have under the consumer law where you live.
